Dwarven Samurai

Ah. This is not an ordinary piece "get-idea-and-draw-it", because this particular dwarven samurai came to me in sleep. When I woke up, I just felt the urge to draw him.

It's a wonder, why there's not so much dwarven samurais. Why? They're just ideal for this proffesion. Loyal. Sturdy. Quiet. Brave and warrioric. And to mix up the fantasy with oriental culture? Thats fun!

His name is Delar from Earthbearer clan and his origin is in Forgotten Realms. He chases his twin thunder brother (don't exactly know how to write in english), Edelar Earthbearer, along all the Faerun. Because of the curiosity, Edelar removed an artifact from his right place, what turned to flood all his clan. The half-mad now Edelar panicked and escaped, taking along the artifact. When Delar returned with few friends from journey to the another clan, they've promised to each other, that they will find the perpetrator and punish him. Eventually, they've found Edelar, but now mad and powerfull by the artefact dwarf killed all, but his brother, because some part of him though, that he need to left someone alive who will kill him so he will be redeemed.
Now Delar hunts Edelar along all the Toril. After the chase trough the Faerun, the've landed in jungles of Chult, from where they've went to islands of Zakhara, then Edelar run to Kara-Tur and Delar went there after him. That's where he gained his new sword abilities and learned the codex of samurai. Now the urge of revenge came to pass, as he learned the calm ways of the samurai. It will change nothing. It will not ressurect his fallen brothers. He cannot take vengeance, but he needs to kill his mad twin brother for his own good.
Their chase lasts for almost hundred years. Now Edelar returns to Faerun. Something allurs him to the region of his dead clan. Delar is after him.

After nearly a year of making this piece, Dwarven Samurai is still one of my favorites. As I, after the time passed, came to myself that I penalized it with coloring, I've made a remake. So...hope you like the new-old Delar Earthbearer.

I was messing a lil' bit with textures and it turned out as dirty and grunge as I always wanted my pictures to be.
